Munnar the sylvan hideaway of serenity and
placid leisure hill station is a popular
tourist destination in Kerala. At an altitude
of 6000 ft in Idukki district, Munnar's
mist clad hill tops of tea plantations,
spice gardens, mountain valleys and miles
of wilderness is a pleasure to visit during
August – March.
Excursions from Munnar are all well accessible
by road and the journey is pleasant all

to visit are: Mattupetty dairy farms,
Mattupetty lake and dam, Kundala tea plantations,
Kundala lake, Pothamedu tea, coffee and
cardamom plantations, trout fishing at
Devikulam's Sita Devi minerals rich lake,
Pallivasal, Attukal, Nyayamaka's waterfalls.
Chithirapuram's tea plantations; adventure

tahrs (goat) at Rajamala, Eravikulam National
Park, Kundala golf course, Aruvikkad Waterfall,
Anayirangal's tea plantations, Marayoor
sandalwood tree forests. Thoovanam waterfalls,
Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls, Meenuli,
Malankara Reservoir, 7 stepped Thommankuthu
waterfalls, Nadukani, Malankara lake,
Kalvari mount, Palkulamedu and Chinnar
